Why can Diabetes Cause Kidney Failure?
Diabetes is closely related to the occurrence of Kidney Failure. Kidney disease is one of the main complications of Diabetes. People with Diabetes have a high risk of kidney disease. At the early stage of Diabetic Nephropathy, due to there are no symptoms in clinical, people are not easy to know they have gotten kidney disease. Therefore, Diabetic Nephropathy will continuously deteriorate and when Diabetes patients feel some discomforts, the disease may have developed into Diabetic Renal Failure. Patients with long-term Diabetes have a higher incidence rate.
In medical community, the latest research shows that pathogeny of Chronic Renal Failure caused by Diabetes is as follows:
(1) When high blood sugar in long-term Diabetes patients enters into cells, it can promote the activity of related enzyme. Then enzyme will synthesize with protein, forming complex. Complex accumulated in glomerulus will do damage to renal tubular and then lead to Diabetic Kidney Failure.
(2) Due to high blood sugar level in Diabetes patients, it results in abnormal biochemical component of glomerular and increase of vascular permeability, then plasma protein begins to leak out. The leaked plasma protein will involve the formation of glomerulosclerosis. When Diabetic Nephropathy can not be treated timely and effectively, it will lead to Diabetic Renal Failure.
(3) Growth hormone in plasma blood of children Diabetic patients is higher. Growth hormone and high level blood sugar will involve in the formation of sugar and protein complex, thus aggravating the damage of Diabetic Nephropathy and quickly leading to Diabetic Kidney Failure.

Diabetes patients easily suffer from various infections and repeated urinary tract infections can lead to renal cortical necrosis, which can cause Diabetic Kidney Failure. In early stage of Diabetes, its damage to kidneys is dormant, so symptoms of Renal Failure are not obvious. However, as the disease develops, glomerular sclerosis state becomes obvious and more and more glomerulus is damaged. The disease develops faster and faster, finally it can occur Proteinuria and the disease can develop into Diabetic Renal Failure.
